Ride Report

The Triple Crown is over, but here in Reno the best part of the riding season has just begun. Temperatures have heated up and there's no more snow to worry about. I haven't really set any goals for the 2nd half of the year yet. I'll probably take a couple weeks to recover mentally from the Triple Crown and then I might focus on adding new states to my Century in 50 States list.

Meanwhile, this week's ride was a trip up Mt. Rose, up 267, and over to Donner Pass Rd outside of Truckee. Donner Pass is a good ride. Donner Lake is a bit underrated (Tahoe gets all the glory) and there's not much traffic out there except for other people who are out enjoying the day by rock climbing, kayaking, soaking up the sun, etc. If you're ever in the Lake Tahoe area I would highly recommend it. The climb itself isn't too difficult, so there is a high scenery to suffering ratio.
